Bank Nifty Index Weightage
The NIFTY Bank Index consists of the most liquid and largest Indian banking stocks. Investing intermediaries and investors can use it as a benchmark to measure the performance of Indian banks on the capital market.
There are a maximum of 12 companies listed in the Index on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE). The NIFTY Bank Index is calculated using the free float market capitalization method. It can be used for launching index funds, ETFs, or benchmarking fund portfolios that are structured.
The NIFTY Bank Total Returns Index is a variant of the NIFTY Bank Total Returns Index.
